Just announced, they will likely stop!

Over the past two weeks the Arch Cape community has responded with a resounding “NO!” to the “To Incorporate or Not” survey. There has also been a virtual dialogue with the Consultant from ECOnorthwest that demonstrates the significant amount of additional work that would be required to realistically determine whether or not incorporation would be financially viable and, if so, to estimate the likely tax exposure in terms of permanent property tax rate and other taxes.

Some members of the Steering Committee believe that:

  1. There may not be a viable financial case for incorporation that keeps the tax rate equal or close to that which each of us currently pay to the County, and
  2. There is very limited community support for incorporation

The Steering Committee just released the following statement;

Subject: Incorporation Feasibility Study Update

Date: October 27, 2025 at 2:26:24 PM PDT

To: undisclosed-recipients:;

Thank you to the community for the input about the current study concerning the incorporation feasibility study. Your input has been carefully considered by the Steering Committee.

At this time, there does not appear to be the votes on the Steering Committee to continue to pursue incorporation. A formal vote will be taken at the regularly scheduled public meeting on Thursday, November 13 at 11am:

 Respectfully,

Steering Committee for the Arch Cape Falcon Cove Beach Incorporation Feasibility Study

Because this decision appears to be tentative, please continue to demonstrate your perspective to the Steering Committee via signs, survey response, etc.

If you haven’t already, please submit the  ‘To Incorporate or Not’ survey (names will be used to avoid duplications but will not be published).  <Click Here>

Another communication will be published after the Steering Committee’s November 13th meeting to confirm that the Steering Committee made the formal decision not to pursue incorporation.

Much appreciation to all of the members of the Steering Committee that listen to Community.

  1. Thank you for taking this on. It was a foolish endeavor all to satisfy the ego’s of some folks that did not get what they wanted from the county comprehensive plan process. I listened to a number of those planning sessions, and the same folks had all sorts of crazy things that were completely outside the legal parameters of the comprehensive plan per the State mandates.

  2. We are concerned that there will continue to be a push for bringing an incorporation vote forward on the ballot in 2026. To that end we ask that ALL members of the public be available and online for comments during the November Steering Committee meeting already in place. This is important and it is necessary. Thank you
